Le Temporaire in the Vieux-Hull sector of Gatineau is reborn in some ways through the new Triple Seven collective which has since taken over the space. Continuing in the same line of work, Triple Seven presents all sorts of events, including a documentary and discussion series meant to stimulate thoughtful exchanges. This Tuesday, December 26, the series will feature a screening of the radical activism film “The East”.
Kapacity Entertainment continues its Ottawa holiday tradition by bringing us its annual Boxing Day party on December 26. This year, it’s going down at Kinki Lounge with Toronto-based DJ Drastik of Thugli, Toronto DJ Techtwelve of the Itzsoweezee crew and some mystery special guests.

This Thursday, December 28, the Indie Scene presents the 3rd Annual House of Targ Hoiday Banger featuring Oshawa pop-punks Matlock Expressway, Hamilton indie rockers Run Maggie Run, Nepean party rockers AHRF, Ottawa surf emo band Swim Team, Ottawa alternative rock artist Nojah and Stittsville rock n’roll musician Sam Hickey.
Over at Babylon on December 28, House Party Thursdays brings you Merry Litmas, a party complete with a gaming section featuring beer-pong, a Connect-4 table, decks of cards, a pinball machine and foosball table, as well as wicked giveaways, among other things.
This Friday, Kinki After Dark presents a year-end show featuring a live performance by Ottawa r&b singer-songwriter Rita Carter who’ll be joined by her band for the occasion, as well as by DJ Rocsteady.
This Friday, December 29, Toronto hip hop artist CasperTNG will be live in concert for the first time in Ottawa and he’ll be giving an all-ages NYE pre -party at the 27 Club alongside special uests Neeco PB, Lia Kloud and others.
Montreal/Ottawa band Little Suns is back to play live at Irene’s Pub this Friday, December 29. This time around, the folk/pop fusion four-piece will be sharing the sage with Ottawa dark soul/rock/folk project Shadowhand.
