In case you hadn’t noticed, New Year’s Eve is fast-approaching and if you haven’t done so already, it’s about that time to make plans Ottawa-Gatineau! If you’re attending some sort of house or hotel party that’s great (it’s always the less complicated option for sure!), but if you’re looking to go out in order to ring in the New Year, take a look below at the variety of suggested events that I’ve carefully picked out for you.

At midnight, Silkken Laumann/Kitchen Party will perform 6 classic party jams, live with special guest singers.
To top it off, there will be a photobooth on hand to capture all party evidence, and complimentary vodka, champagne & redbull to ring in the New Year. For more info on this event, just click the poster below. True to itself, the Mercury Lounge presents Tropicalia Masquerade with 3 levels of rare grooves, soulful sounds and majestic entertainment. Music will be provided by DJ Balu, DJ Dusty and Jeff Lapratte including a special performance by SoulSamba 3, live Brazilian soul and samba-funk. Masks are a must! Last but certainly not least, Ritual Nightclub invites you to celebrate NYE 2013 with live performances by Ottawa’s own Mackenzie Rhythm Section and The Hornettes including music by DJs Illo, Iggy Smalls, Laocapone, Danya D and JC Boom. Tickets are $20 in advance for a guaranteed good time (unless some fool pukes on you which is always a risk on New Year’s)!
Whatever you decide to do for NYE, be sure to have tons of fun and to be surrounded by people that you love and cherish to ring in 2013 🙂 Enjoy the celebrations to the max and make the necessary arrangements to get home safely!
Cheers!
